About Sinocra
Sinocra is a Guangzhou gallery devoted to classical and contemporary Chinese ink wash painting. We represent working artists and hold a growing collection of original ink masterworks, from hanging scrolls and handscrolls to album leaves and fan paintings.
Jianle Liu
Founder and Lead Artist
Jianle Liu founded Sinocra to give ink wash painting a clear, modern home. He is an active calligrapher and ink artist whose work moves between hard-pen calligraphy and brush ink painting, with a steady focus on the discipline of the line.
He holds three professional memberships:
- Member, China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association (中国硬笔书法协会)
- Member, Yunfu Calligraphers Association (云浮市书法家协会)
- Director, Yun’an District Calligraphers Association (云安区书法家协会)
Our Collection and Editorial
The gallery sells original ink wash pieces to collectors and institutions. Alongside the commercial collection, Sinocra publishes original editorial writing on masterworks held in major museum collections, including The Palace Museum in Beijing. These articles are scholarly, written from scratch, and credited to their source. They are part of our wider effort to bring Chinese ink art to a global readership.
